What a long day yesterday was. I started the day in a bit of a funk that I just couldn’t seem to shake. Capstone class was a waste of time; I think I would have been much happier with a quick email to sum up everything he was going to say. It did however give my capstone group a few hours to work on our needs assessment stuff before heading down to Washington Mutual for a second meeting to clarify some issues.

While browsing the web and generally avoiding anything related to homework (sorry Capstone group) I ran across this article about the stages of a relationship. I’m not sure I totally agree with everything, but I thought it was pretty interesting none the less.

Yesterday I stopped by an old friend’s house and watched About Schmidt. I didn’t know too much about the movie other than I had heard it wasn’t that funny and it was actually kind of depressing. Unphased by these comments, I decided to watch the movie anyway.

CNN.com - Tsunamis kill more than 56,000 - Dec 28, 2004
I don’t really have much to say about this other than it is one of the most tragic events I have ever heard of. My heart goes out to those who have lost loved ones and everyone involved.
Since Trevor covered the last night’s clubbing experience pretty well, I’ll just jump right in and talk about some of the things I noticed.
Upon walking inside, Trevor hit it right on the head… I felt like a tourist. It’s always a bit strange going to a place you’ve never been before, and I’ve got to admit I felt a bit out of my element. It was pretty crowded and there was just no good place to stand where you didn’t feel like you were in somebody’s way. After a bit of walking around and checking out the scene we were lucky enough to find a spot back in the corner where we could sit and chat for a bit.

As you can see I’ve completely redesigned by blog. I’ve finally moved all of the content off of the UW’s servers and will shut down everything over there after a few weeks. I’ve also decided to stop using WordPress as a CMS for links and other pages. WordPress is great for blogging, but I found it somewhat clunky at managing everything.
As for the actual design, I’m pretty happy with it. I think it looks a lot cleaner than the old design and the process went much smoother than last time. Feel free to leave suggestions as comments. Let me know if you find any funky rendering bugs too. Thanks guys!

Reflekt feat. Deline Bass - Need to Feel Loved
Found this track on a recent Paul Van Dyk set from DjMixes. The tracklisting says the version PVD plays is the club mix, but it sounds a little different to me. Not too much to say about this one other than it comes highly recommended. This is another progressive trance track with a female vocal - guess I’m becoming a sucker for seductive female vocals.

As some of you may know, Trotter and Trevor have become completely obsessed with leather jackets. Figuring I needed to get some Christmas shopping done I decided to join them on their nightly trip to the mall this time. Not too much to write about tonight, just thought I’d share this classic photo.
Flash Brothers - Amen (Lys & Gigi S extended remix)
This is one of those tracks I have been putting on repeat and listening to since it was released two months ago. I first heard it while listening to a live broadcast of Sander Kleinenberg spinning at Sensation White in Amsterdam (07/03/2004). It was the second to last track played and as soon as I heard it my ears stood up like a dog who hears the mail man coming. After some serious searching and a bit of a wait I was able to find it. Six months later I’m still listening to it and enjoying it just as much as the first time.
